India cricket team's chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar will join hands with wife Fatema to launch a pre-school in Mumbai on July 29.

The institution named the Agarkar Centre of Excellence (ACE) Juniors draws inspiration from IB, Cambridge Early Years, Reggio Emilia, Steiner Education, the Alberta Curriculum (Canada) and the New Zealand Curriculum Framework, while "remaining deeply rooted in Indian developmental and cultural contexts."

Fatema, educationist and founder of ACE, aims to redefine early childhood education with focus on "life skills, character development and experiential learning."

Agarkar, who played 26 Tests, 191 ODIs and four T20Is for India, said: "Cricket taught me that success is never just about talent. It comes from learning every day, staying adaptable, working as a team, and developing the resilience to handle both success and setbacks. These are lifelong skills, which should begin developing early in a child's life."
