Nehra, who was picked as a replacement for the ill Praveen Kumar spoke to Sunday MiD DAY on a flight to Guwahati on Friday.u00a0
"I was at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in Bangalore. On Thursday, I got a call from the Board, and they checked with me if I was fit enough to play. I am a lot fitter now, and that's why decided to join the squad," said the left-arm quickie.
"It is a little disappointing that people are questioning my fitness. I performed really well in the last one-day series for India.
"Why do I have to prove my fitness through playing Ranji Trophy? I haven't played Ranji Trophy for the last three years.
I am only concentrating on playing one-day and T20 matches. My focus is on the World Cup,"
he said.
