Resuming at their overnight score of 81 for three, Assam were bowled out for 298. In reply, Mumbai were 91 for three with Sahil Kukreja (38) and Abhishek Nayar (18) at the crease yesterday.

With skipper Wasim Jaffer (4) and Ajinkya Rahane (22) back in the pavilion, and Rohit Sharma not playing due to national duty, much will depend on Kukreja and Nayar if Mumbai are to get three points. Earlier, Assam's Dheeraj Jadhav (79) and Tarjinder Singh (74) led the charge adding 117 runs for the fourth wicket.
