Gower provides a YouTube moment!Former England captain David Gower screamed live on air as Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook batted England back into the first Test ufffd but it had nothing to do with the on-field action.
Gower was on Sky Sports commentary from the Gabba when co-commentator Nasser Hussain placed the leg of a chair on his foot as he went to sit down.
With England on 116, Gower provided a YouTube moment with a scream which had Hussain and fellow commentator Michael Atherton ufffd the third former England captain in the commentary booth at the time ufffd falling about laughing afterwards.
Things reached comic proportions as Gower's fellow commentator David Lloyd later feigned collapse when on Third Man duties.
Bumble 'woke up' when the camera showed him slumped against the wall, much to the enjoyment of Gower and Shane Warne. Bumble had been conspicuously absent from Twitter overnight but was the subject of much speculation between Warne and Michael Vaughan.
Warne had asked Vaughan: "... what's happened to bumble??? Is he ok? He told me he got harassed last night by 4 silly big lads." To which Vaughan replied: "... He is having a press conference soon... That's all I can say.."
Cheeky Andy back England coach Andy Flower was back with his team at the Gabba, having had to miss days two and three after surgery to remove a melanoma from the top of his right cheek.
Flower had the melanoma, just below his right eye, surgically removed and missed days two and three of the first Test in Brisbane.
The melanoma was spotted by England's security adviser Reg Dickason and checked out by Dr Shobhan Manoharan who diagnosed the potentially life-threatening skin cancer was malignant. The 42-year-old England coach decided to take medical advice after Dickason voiced his concerns and, following a biopsy, Flower underwent surgery.
After 72 years...Hundreds by Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook in the first Ashes Test against Australia at Brisbane ended a 72-year wait.
It is the first time England's openers have each made centuries in an Ashes Test since Charlie Barnett and Len Hutton accomplished the feat at Trent Bridge in 1938.
