The BCCI working committee unanimously turned down former India captain Sunil Gavaskar's demand of a $1 million fee (approx 5 crore) per season for media activities involving cash-rich Indian Premier League, according to a PTI report.

The decision was taken during BCCI's last AGM and the matter was closed, but it again came up for discussion as the former India captain had written to the board demanding the fee, which he claimed had been promised by former BCCI president Sharad Pawar.
