England T20 captain Stuart Broad has been ruled out for the remainder of the home season and is likely to miss the five-match One-day series in India next month, following a muscle tear he suffered in the fourth ODI at Lord's.
"Stuart will require an initial period of rest and rehabilitation," said England & Wales Cricket Board Chief Medical Officer Nick Peirce. Broad suffered the injury while bowling during the tied match against India on Sunday.
