Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has set a good example of putting national duty above his personal life.
Jadeja's wife Riva is pregnant but the Saurashtra southpaw is in England for the Champions Trophy where India plays their opening match against Pakistan at Edbaston, in Birmingham, on Sunday.
In a video posted in the official broadcaster Star Sports' website Jadeja said: "I had to leave my pregnant wife behind. Family matters a lot to me, but it was also necessary to be part of the team with an important match coming up against Pakistan. Since the family is there to take care of her even they felt that I should play as that's more important and I decided to do the same."
