Dadar Union stalwart Puthran no more

Ajit Puthran

Ajit Puthran, a former Dadar Union Sporting Club pace bowler, passed away on Thursday. Puthran, 62, was a terrific Kanga League bowler and teamed up well with the late Ramesh Rajde in the 1980s, tormenting the best sides in the premier division of the monsoon league. Both were bespectacled.

He was also known for his exploits in tennis ball cricket.
