Deccan Chargers' skipper Adam Gilchrist could hardly conceal his smile after his side's 13-run win over Royalu00a0 Challengers Bangalore here last night. "We experienced a couple of awkward run chases in the previous two games. It's a difficult wicket to play big shots, but all credit to the batsmen for getting us to that total. The bowlers came out and did a great job under pressure," Gilchrist said.

He experienced yet another failure with the bat but he did not fret over his indifferent form. "I was thinking this morning that I would take a duck didn't exactly think first-ball duck of course! if we go on to win the game," he said. Gilchrist was caught behind by Robin Uthappa off South African pace ace Dale Steyn.

Man of the match Harmeet Singh who dismissed dangerman Uthappa and Dale Steyn off successive balls was delighted after his performance swung the pendulum in Chargers' favour. Uthappa was well set to perform another incredible act but was clean bowled by Harmeet's slower ball. The Sikh thought about his parents in his hour of glory. "I would like to thank my mom and dad for putting me into cricket."
