Australian speedster Shaun Tait was today ruled out of all forms of the game for the next two months after undergoing a surgery in his right elbow.

Australian speedster Shaun Tait was today ruled out of all forms of the game for the next two months after undergoing a surgery in his right elbow.

Tait underwent a arthroscopic surgery here following a long-standing right elbow complaint, which has worsened recently.

Cricket Australia doctor Trefor James said no precise time period can be put on Tait's return to cricket.

"Shaun Tait underwent corrective elbow surgery this afternoon for a chronic elbow complaint and his return to cricket will be determined by the speed of his recovery from surgery," James said in a statement.

"It is not anticipated he will be able to play within the next two months," he added.
