England pacer Carse to face no charges over nightclub assault case

England fast bowler Brydon Carse will face no charges after an investigation into an alleged assault was closed by Derbyshire Police, the force said Friday.

The 31-year-old remains subject to a probe by the Cricket Regulator, the disciplinary arm of the English game, who will assess if he has a case to answer under their regulations.

Derbyshire Police said they were investigating an alleged assault in connection with the incident but have now decided no further action will be taken.
