Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri shared a post along with veteran opening batsman Rohit Sharma in London. The former head coach captioned the post as, "Great bumping into a relaxed Shaaaarma on a stroll in London @ImRo45".
In the picture, Rohit appeared with a new look, in which he has a neatly trimmed beard. His new look has triggered an outpouring of affection across social media platforms, with fans drawing parallels to Rohit's debut era in 2007 and his initial years as a middle-order prospect.
A fan commented, "Who's this Emerging young talent?".

His outing comes after a solid performance with the willow against England. Recently, Rohit made his appearance for Team India during the three-match ODI series against England. In the third ODI match against the "Three Lions", the right-handed batsman smashed 138 runs in 110 deliveries. His knock was laced with 17 boundaries and five maximums.
With this, he also silenced his critics, who were questioning his place in the team leading up to the ODI World Cup 2027.
So far, the Nagpur-born cricketer has played 288 ODI matches for the "Men in Blue" and has garnered 11,895 runs. With a top score of 264 runs, he also has 62 half-centuries and 34 tons to his name.
Despite his glorious century, the Shubman Gill-led team suffered a loss by 27 runs at the Lord's Cricket Ground in the City of Westminster. With this, the visitors also lost the three-match ODI series by 1-2.
In nine ODIs this calendar year, Rohit has accumulated 379 runs at an average of 42.11. Both Rohit and Kohli are set to return to action for the upcoming home ODI series against the West Indies, scheduled to run from September 27 to October 3.
