Knight Riders' captain Sourav Ganguly is banking on a miracle to make the IPL semi-finals.
"It is possible to bounce back and we need two wins. Nobody's sure of a semi-final spot at this stage except Mumbai Indians," said Ganguly before he takes on Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens.
"There's still a lot of motivation left. We will try out our best possible combination," he said. But the missed opportunities couldn't be erased from memory. "We wanted everybody to do better. We had an opportunity but we couldn't achieve results. Against Punjab, we scored 200 and still lost."
Asked whether he had a chat with co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who has expressed his disappointment over KKR woes on Twitter. "We will chat after the IPL. He is very much active with the team. We have not fared well over the last three years and we have not fulfilled his dreams. It's natural for him to be disappointed," said Ganguly.
Negating talk of the game being a Ganguly vs Warne tussle, the Australian emphasised: "It's a must win game for us. This is not a battle between Shane Warne and Sourav Ganguly. It's a battle between Royals and Knight Riders."
