The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) disciplinary committee will meet today in New Delhi to discuss the report submitted by Anti-Corruption Unit chief Ravi Sawani.u00a0A source said: "Harmeet is likely to come out clean since his name has not cropped up in the investigations."

Harmeet, who is in the Capital to face the disciplinary committee, was approached by his Rajasthan Royals teammate Ajit Chandila, who fixed a meeting at a hotel in Bandra, where bookies urged Harmeet to indulge in spot fixing at the start of the IPL-VI. The youngster reportedly turned down the offer.

Ravi Sawani, head of BCCI's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit, later questioned the left-arm spinner. He was issued a show cause notice for not reporting the incident to the Indian board or IPL officials.

A positive verdict would bring huge relief to Harmeet as he would be in a position to begin focusing fully on cricket again. Ever since his name cropped up in the scandal, Vidarbha, who had contracted him for the Ranji season slammed the door on him.

He was also not allowed to play for Shivaji Park Gymkhana in the ongoing Dr HD Kanga Cricket League due to the pending inquiry in the IPL saga.u00a0
