Pakistan legend and one of the finest all-rounders in the 1970s and 1980s, Imran Khan, will be in Mumbai to speak on how India vs Pakistan cricket can bridge the gap between both countries.

Imran (59) will deliver the third Dilip Sardesai Memorial lecture at the Cricket Club of India on September 29.

India calling: Imran Khan

The annual lecture was initiated by the Sardesai family a year after the former batting star expired. Sunil Gavaskar delivered the first one in 2009 followed by Bishan Singh Bedi in 2010. The last time Imran spoke to a large gathering in Mumbai was when he was here as one of the high profile guests for the Wisden awards in 2003. At the NCPA, he then spoke about how one-day cricket is contributing to injuries among fast bowlers and the improved standard of umpiring.

Imran retired from international cricket after leading Pakistan to their 1992 World Cup triumph. Imran went on to become a politician. He also appears on cricket-related television shows.
