Team India were all-out for 233 runs against England in Cardiff. After a good start, the visitors suffered a middle-order collapse as they lost wickets in quick succession.
After a good start from the openers, India lost their way after the fall of Virat Kohli's wicket. Earlier, captain Shubman Gill scored 31 while his opening partner Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 26.
Virat Kohli scored yet another half-century to take India past 100 before the 20th over. However, he was out for 65 runs, and the Indian middle order collapsed from 104/1 to 193/7.
Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer top-scored with a crucial 66 runs, but wickets kept falling on the other end, and India were bundled out for 233 runs in just 44 overs.
For England, Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson both chipped in with three wickets each on what was a positive bowling performance by the hosts.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Indian captain Shubman Gill said he would have bowled first as well. The Indian star confirmed one change from the first ODI with Ishan Kishan replacing KL Rahul.
"We would have bowled first as well. (How are you keeping?) Doing well, and yes, very happy and very pleased we had a near-perfect game last game. So hopefully we're gonna have another good game. (Very clinical last game and a good bowling performance) Yeah, definitely. I think we had good 6-7 overs in the powerplay, and then we were put under pressure in the end of the powerplay. But I think how we came back in the middle overs, fast bowlers taking wickets, it was just tremendous to see. I played a season here with Glamorgan, very good memories there. So hopefully I will have another one to add on to those memories. (Any changes?) Yeah, we've got one change: KL is sick, so he misses out, and Ishan Kishan comes back in." Gill said.
