The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named Shivam Dube as a replacement for all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy for the three-match ODI series against England.
Earlier, Nitish was ruled out of the white-ball tours of Ireland and England. He sustained a left quadriceps injury during the third ODI match against Afghanistan, according to ESPNcricinfo.
The first ODI match against England will be played on July 14 at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. The second clash is scheduled to be played on July 16 at the Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground in Cardiff. The Lord's Cricket Ground in the City of Westminster will host the third ODI match between the "Men in Blue" and the Englishmen.
Ahead of the 50-over format series, cricket fans will be excited to witness Team India's batting greats, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Having retired from T20Is and Test cricket, both players actively participate in the ODI series for Team India.
Currently, Team India and England are busy featuring in the five-match T20I series. The hosts are leading by 1-0, with the first game abandoned due to rain.
The "Men in Blue" suffered a loss by four wickets at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Greater Manchester. The third match is all set to be played on July 7 at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham.
The hosts will look to secure another win, whereas the Shreyas Iyer-led men will be eager to bounce back and level the series. Ahead of the third T20I, the cricket fans will keep a tab on Sooryavanshi, who made his international debut in the second game. However, the left-handed batsman departed on 14 runs in 10 balls. He also smashed two maximums during his knock.
It will be interesting to see if the 15-year-old cricketer manages to put on a big show with the willow in Nottingham.
