IND vs WI 5th T20I: Bhuvneshwar Kumar drafted in for series-decider in Bengaluru

Team India is set to clash with the West Indies in the fifth T20I match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on October 17.

Ahead of the match, star pacer Arshdeep Singh's availability is uncertain. He sustained a shoulder injury in the previous T20I match in Hyderabad. However, his participation in the final match of the series will be decided before the clash, depending on his fitness levels.

This has opened doors for veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added him to India's squad for the clash in Bengaluru. Following the development, the board shared a post on its official social media handle.

The pacer has also been named in India's squad for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will begin from October 22 at the Hagley Park South in the central city of Christchurch.

Coming to the ongoing five-match T20I series against the West Indies, the visitors secured a win in the fourth T20I match by 24 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

The victory has also helped the West Indies tie the five-match T20I series at 2-2. The fifth clash promises to be a thriller, considering that both teams will look to end the series on a positive note.
