In the second T20I match against Zimbabwe, Team India secured a win by a huge margin of 90 runs at the Harare Sports Club.
In an attempt to chase the target of 220 runs, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 129 runs in 17.5 overs.
Opening batsman Brian Bennett smashed 32 runs off just 19 deliveries, including three boundaries and the same number of maximums. Fellow opening batsman Ben Curran was dismissed on one run in five balls.
Dion Myers departed on 12 runs after facing nine balls, which included two boundaries. Ryan Burl and skipper Sikandar Raza registered 20 and zero runs, respectively. Facing 18 balls, Burl smashed two boundaries, whereas Raza faced three balls. Wesley Madhevere and wicketkeeper-batsman Tadiwanashe Marumani scored two and 24 runs, respectively. Madhevere faced three balls, whereas Marumani faced 19 balls, and smashed a boundary and a maximum.
Brad Evans managed to score 19 runs in 11 balls, including a boundary and two maximums. Newman Nyamhuri was dismissed on three runs in six balls. Richard Ngarava scored one run in eight balls, whereas Blessing Muzarabani stayed unbeaten on seven runs, which came in six balls, including a boundary.
Team India's Abhishek Sharma returned with the figures of three wickets for 17 runs in 2.5 overs. Yash Thakur and Prince Yadav bagged two wickets each. Completing his quota of four overs, Thakur leaked 30 runs, whereas Prince conceded 10 runs in 1.2 overs. Ravi Bishnoi, Shivam Dube, and Tilak Varma claimed one wicket each. Mayank Yadav went wicketless in the second T20I match against Zimbabwe.
Earlier, having been put to bat first, Team India's Vaibhav Sooryavanshi departed on 20 runs in nine balls, including three boundaries and a maximum. Fellow opening batsman Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on eight runs in eight balls, which included two boundaries.
Captain Shreyas Iyer managed to score 25 runs in 20 balls, with the help of four boundaries.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan delivered a stunning knock which included nine boundaries and two maximums. Facing 44 deliveries, the left-handed batsman garnered 81 runs. Rinku Singh lost his wicket on 12 runs. His knock of eight balls included a maximum. Tilak Varma also accumulated an unbeaten 60 runs, which came in 29 balls, with the help of five boundaries and three maximums. Along with him, Shivam Dube stayed unbeaten on six runs in three balls, including a boundary. With this, the "Men in Blue" posted a total of 219 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.
Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Brad Evans, and Brian Bennett claimed one wicket each. Skipper Sikandar Raza went wicketless in the second T20I match against the visitors.
