Second-seeded India expectedly qualified for the quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-0 win over France, their second in a row, in the 13th World Junior women's team squash championship on Tuesday.

India, spearheaded by Dipika Pallikal, who had beaten Germany 3-0 last evening in their opening Pool B fixture, had a few anxious moments against France before coming through.

The key match on Tuesday for India was the second singles between Anaka Alankamony, who replaced Anwesha Reddy, and Julia Lecoq. The Indian lost the opening two games before bouncing back to take the next three to give her team a 2-0 advantage after Dipika had won the first match.

Later, Surbhi Mishra provided India the winning 3-0 lead when she overcame Cyrielle Peltier in four games.

India take on England on Wednesday in their concluding league fixture to decide the pool winners. England, who beat France on Monday, defeated Germany for their second win and book their berth in the quarter-finals.
