Team India defeated Afghanistan by 170 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan set up the match for the hosts in the first innings, scoring centuries each.

His innings included eight fours as he gave the Afghans a ray of hope in chasing an improbable target.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz continued his good form on the Indian tour as well. He scored 41 runs off 33 deliveries, including seven fours and one six. Sediqullah Atal chipped in with 42 runs in 50 balls, but it was too little too late for Afghanistan, who struggled to stitch together partnerships.
