Sudhir, who's body-painted image is almost always flashed across TV screens during India matches, claimed to have been "pelted by stones" following India's defeat in the second ODI in Mirpur.

"I told them (the authorities) that I didn't want to file any complaint. It's over. But they have posted guards outside (my accommodation in Bangladesh). Two guards will accompany me to India's practice session and bring me back.

And on the day of the match, there will be four guards with me," Sudhir told Wisden India. However, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official said that no police complaint had been filed by Gautam.

"No one has approached us, so we are not yet clear on the details of what happened to Sudhir," a BCB spokesperson said.
