IPL 2026: KL Rahul departs early as Delhi Capitals reach 73 runs in 10 overs against Mumbai Indians

In the IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a total of 73 runs for the loss of three wickets after the completion of 10 overs.

In an attempt to chase a target of 163 runs, DC's wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul scored one run in three balls. Nitish Rana was dismissed on a three-ball duck. Pathum Nissanka garnered 44 runs off 40 deliveries, laced with six boundaries and a maximum.

Impact Player Sameer Rizvi and David Miller are unbeaten at the crease. Rizvi has scored 25 runs in 23 balls, including two boundaries and a maximum.

MI's Deepak Chahar has managed to pick up one wicket by conceding seven runs in two overs. Mitchell Santner has also bagged one wicket by giving away 22 runs in three overs. Lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Corbin Bosch, and Impact Player Mayank Markande are yet to pick any wickets.

Earlier, having put to bat first, Mumbai Indians' (MI) wicketkeeper-batsman Ryan Rickelton scored nine runs in 11 balls, including two boundaries. Fellow opening batsman Rohit Sharma garnered 35 runs in 26 balls, with the help of five boundaries and a maximum.

Tilak Varma was dismissed on a two-ball duck. Sherfane Rutherford also returned to the pavilion after scoring five runs in seven balls, including a boundary.

Later, stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav played a stunning knock of 51 runs off 36 deliveries, which was laced with three boundaries and two maximums. Facing 21 balls, Naman Dhir accumulated 28 runs, including two boundaries and a maximum. Mitchell Santner also scored an unbeaten 18 runs in 13 balls, including two boundaries. Along with him, Corbin Bosch stayed unbeaten on 11 runs in four balls, with the help of two boundaries. With this, the "Paltan" posted a total of 162 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

DC's Mukesh Kumar returned with the figures of two wickets for 26 runs in three overs. Lungi Ngidi, skipper Axar Patel, Vipraj Nigam, and T. Natarajan also chipped in with one wicket each. Star spinner Kuldeep Yadav went wicketless in the IPL 2026 match against MI.
