Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win IPL 2026. RCB became just the third team, after Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, to successfully defend their title.
During the post-tournament award presentation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the star, winning most awards.
Emerging Player of the Season
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest-ever emerging player in IPL 2026 after a record-breaking season with Rajasthan Royals. The 15-year-old accumulated 776 runs and cleared the boundary a staggering 72 times.
The most number of fours (75)
Sai Sudarshan won the award for the most fours in the IPL 2026. The Gujarat Titans opener was one of the best players of the season, helping GT reach the final of the tournament.
Super Striker of the Season (237.3)
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was named the Super Striker of the Season for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). He achieved this award with a spectacular strike rate of 237.3 across his innings. The teenager was the star with the bat throughout the season for the Rajasthan Royals.
Catch of the Season
Manish Pandey won the catch of the season for his brilliant effort against RCB. The 37-year-old took a blinder at point to dismiss Tim David.
Super Sixes of the Season (72)
Sooryavanshi scored a record-breaking 72 sixes in the IPL 2026. The left-handed batter broke the record of Chris Gayle, who scored 58 sixes in 2012. Despite his heroics, RR failed to qualify for the tournament final.
Purple Cap (29 wickets)
GT's pacer Kagiso Rabada will walk off with the "Purple Cap" of the tournament. In 17 matches, he claimed 29 wickets. RCB's Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished in the second place with 28 wickets, followed by RR's Jofra Archer (25 wickets) and GT's Rashid Khan (21 wickets). Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) Anshul Kamboj signed off the tournament with 21 wickets.
Orange Cap (776 runs)
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi won the IPL 2026 Orange Cap, finishing as the tournament's highest run-scorer. He amassed 776 runs in 16 matches at a staggering strike rate of 237.31. Gujarat Titans' (GT) skipper Shubman Gill (732 runs) and Sai Sudharsan (722 runs) finished in the second and third place, respectively.
Fairplay Award
Punjab Kings won the fairplay award during the post-tournament award presentation for IPL 2026.
Most Valuable Player of the season
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2026 IPL season. He became the youngest player to win the award, securing it with 436.5 points earned across 16 matches.
