Ishant injured, may not be part of Day 2

Mohali: Ishant Sharma's availability for the rest of the Mohali Test remains uncertain, as the team management couldn't clarify whether the Delhi pacer would take the field on Saturday.


Ishant, who left the field after bowling 7.4 overs after sustaining a hamstring injury, was sent for an MRI.

According to Mayank Parikh, an Indian team official, the MRI report will only be known today after which the team will take a call on his further participation in the Test.
