Bairstow, left out of Thursday night's first Twenty20 International here when England preferred Jos Buttler to keep wicket, subsequently discovered during that match that he was needed at home.
The Yorkshireman will be unavailable for today's tour-ending final Twenty20 in Mumbai, having flown to England yesterday morning.
