The Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) Apex Council appointed JS Saharia as Electoral Officer for the election to be held to fill the vacant president's post.
The MCA will have a new chief before July 26, a situation caused by the death of Amol Kale in America earlier this month.
As per the association's constitution, the MCA needs to hold an election for the vacant president's post within 45 days. Saharia, a former IAS officer, is likely to announce the election process soon.
