Sri Lanka defeated Australia by one wicket in the opening one-day international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
The Sri Lankans staged a stunning recovery with a record ninth-wicket stand of 132 runs between man-of-the-match Angelo Matthews and Lasith Malinga steering them to victory.
