Pakistan beat Bangladesh in build-up to opening tie against India

Fahim Ashraf's quickfire, unbeaten 30-ball 64 helped Pakistan beat Bangladesh by two wickets in a high-scoring contest of the Champions Trophy warm-up match here on Saturday.

Earlier, riding on Tamim Iqbal's 102, Bangladesh scored 341 for nine in the alloted 50 overs. Iqbal's 93-ball knock was laced with nine fours and four sixes. He put up a 142-run stand with Imrul Kayes (61 off 62 balls). Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan claimed 4-73 off nine overs while seamer Hasan Ali and spinner Shadab Khan claimed four and two wickets respectively.

In reply, Pakistan scored 342-8 off 49.3 overs. Shoaib Malik was the top-scorer for Pakistan with 72 off 66 balls.

Spinner Mehedi Hasan was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh with 2-30.

Pakistan play their next warm-up match against Australia on Monday before starting their Champions League campaign against defending champions India on June 4.
