It was on a PIL filed by one section of the cricket administration in Bihar, vying for BCCI recognition, which saw the Bombay High Court rule that the two-member panel formed by the BCCI to look into the spot fixing scandal was "illegal and unconstitutional".
"After the Bombay High Court verdict, Srinivasan should not chair tomorrow's (August 2) meeting in New Delhi on moral grounds. Technically, it will be contempt of court.
But if he attends this meeting as BCCI president, we will file a contempt petition," Aditya Verma, the petitioner and secretary of CAB told MiD DAY yesterday.
"We have already filed a âcaveat' in the Supreme Court. We know that BCCI will approach the SC to have a stay enforced on the Bombay High Court order," added Verma, a former TATA steel all-rounder and Ranji selector. u00a0
