Several police were hurt and 15 fans were arrested after supporters clashed after CSKA Sofia's 2-0 home reverse to Rapid Vienna in the Europea League on Thursday, police said in the Bulgarian capital.


Several police were hurt and 15 fans were arrested after supporters clashed after CSKA Sofia's 2-0 home reverse to Rapid Vienna in the Europea League on Thursday, police said in the Bulgarian capital.

"Police have been hurt and two police cars damaged," police director Valentin Yordanov, told the Focus news agency while insisting the trouble was under control.

Interior ministry spokeswoman Vania Valkova told AFP there had been 15 arrests.

The Bulgarian news agency BTA reported that some fans had thrown projectiles at match officials before breaking shop and car windows outside the stadium.

CSKA have lost all three of their pool matches so far.
