As reported by MiD DAY earlier, Sachin Tendulkar along with other senior members of the Indian Test team will leave for South Africa on December 6. The first Test of the three-match series is at Centurion on December 16, but the players will use the practice facilities at coach Gary Kirsten's academy in Cape Town.
Here at Nagpur after India won the Test series against New Zealand yesterday, Tendulkar told MiD DAY: "Leaving for South Africa early is a logical decision. Practising in Gary's academy will be helpful. We need to get accustomed to the conditions. I am hoping we can do that quickly." Meanwhile, Kirsten said: "It is a big academy with two oval shaped grounds. There are plenty of wickets there. We have the best possible
facilities."
