Ravindra Jadeja's triple century powered Saurashtra to 545 in their first innings against Orissa at Cuttack on the second day of Ranji Trophy elite division tie.

Jadeja showed his all-round potential, carrying on from overnight 141 not out and leading the batting with a scintillating 314.

He took 375 balls and struck 29 fours and nine sixes. Orissa's Basant Mohanty took four wickets. In reply, the hosts reached 51 for no loss at stumps.

Mumbai's Rohit Sharma, who was at overnight 133 against the Railways at the Karnail Singh Stadium in Delhi continued in the same vein as Mumbai reached 483.

His 175 came in 287 balls with the help of 20 fours and one six. Mumbai then reduced the Railways to 66/3 with seasoned off-spinner Ramesh Powar taking two wickets.
