The start of the opening day's play in the second Test between Sri Lanka and the West Indies was delayed due to a wet outfield on Tuesday.
The opening Test of the three-match series ended in a draw in Galle last week.
The West Indies are seeking their first Test victory in Sri Lanka, having lost five and drawn two of their seven matches.
