Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule, the daughter of party chief and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, on Tuesday said her family had no links with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

"My husband or my family have nothing to do with either the IPL bidding process or the IPL itself," Sule, MP, told news channel CNN-IBN. She said the only association her family has is they are avid cricket watchers.

Asked about allegations against NCP leader Praful Patel, Sule rubbished the reports.

As for Pawar coming out in defence of IPL chief Lalit Modi, Sule said her father not only defended Modi but also Shashi Tharoor, who has resigned in the wake of the IPL controversy.
