On his last day in domestic cricket, the man who has spent two and a half decades playing the game, shared his experiences and even answered a host of queries from the Haryana players in an interactive session that lasted nearly an hour.

It was nothing short of a farewell gift from the batting legends to the Haryana lads. "It was one of the greatest experiences of my life… an honour. Almost every member asked Sachin a question.

And he willingly shared his cricketing life with us. Some asked questions pertaining to batting, while others shared some of their on and off field problems with him. Sachin's responses were amazing and he answered in detail too," Haryana's senior pacer Joginder Sharma told MiD DAY yesterday.

Opener Rahul Dewan asked the batting maestro how he prepares for a game on match eve. "I asked Sachin how he prepares himself when he goes out for practice the day before a game. I wanted to know what all goes into his mind. Does he think about the result of the game," said Dewan.

The Master's response was interesting. "Sachin said he sticks to his basics. He keeps the nature of the pitch and quality of the opposition in mind and practices accordingly, but never thinks about the result," added Dewan.

The Haryana lads even quizzed Tendulkar over their bowling. Medium pacer Ashish Hooda explained: "My fellow pacer Harshal Patel asked Sachin what he thought of his bowling.

Sachin said that we all bowled well today and used right areas of the pitch. He said that this is the basic requirement for a bowler against any quality opposition," said Hooda.u00a0
