Team India's Rishabh Pant offers prayers at a temple in Uttarakhand

Team India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has shared a post on his official social media handle, in which he is seen offering prayers at a temple in Uttarakhand.

"Om Namah Shivay There's something truly special about our Uttarakhand," read his post's caption.

Pant was part of Team India that defeated Afghanistan by a huge margin of an innings and 300 runs in the one-off Test match at the Maharaja Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.

During the match, the left-handed batsman played an impressive knock of 81 runs. His knock came in 121 balls, which included six boundaries and three maximums.

Currently, Team India is busy engaging in the three-match ODI series. The "Men in Blue" registered a victory in the rain-curtailed first ODI match against the Afghans.

The hosts defeated the visitors by seven wickets at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.

Team India's debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey claimed three wickets each. Having bowled 4.5 overs, Brar conceded 27 runs, whereas Dubey gave away 47 runs in five overs.

Later, the fans witnessed a glorious knock of an unbeaten 84 runs from skipper Shubman Gill. Facing 66 balls, he smashed 11 boundaries and two maximums. Ishan Kishan also accumulated 34 runs in 22 balls, with the help of three boundaries and a maximum.

Accompanying Gill was KL Rahul, who garnered an unbeaten 39 runs off just 19 deliveries, laced with four boundaries and three maximums.

The "Men in Blue" will lock horns with Afghanistan in the second ODI match on June 17 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground in Lucknow.
