Wenger blasts Gunners for complacency

Arsene Wenger accused Arsenal of complacency after Shakhtar Donetsk stormed beat the Gunners 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Arsenal at the Donbass Arena but the Ukrainian champions came back strongly first thanks to an own-goal off Craig Eastmond and then through a clinical strike from former Gunners star Eduardo da Silva.

"Congratulations to Donetsk, they played well. We had a good start, but after that lost urgency.

We lost concentration in the duels.

It was more of a team problem, a kind of complacency problem more than an individual problem.

But we have learnt our lesson." said Wenger.
