Women cricketers will look to keep the world on the edge of their seats as they kickstart their campaign at the upcoming Women's Indian Premier League 2024 on February 23 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The second edition, which will run till March 17, promises to be as exhilarating as ever, for it is not only the likes of Alyssa Healy and Smriti Mandhana that fans will shed their weight of expectations on, but another fresh crop of cricketers with some noteworthy talent tucked within.

The players will look forward to another fleeting campaign at the Women's Indian Premier League 2024 as they take on their global counterparts in the cash-rich tournament. A total of five teams are in the fray with an overall 22 matches scheduled to be played.

Women's Indian Premier League 2024: Complete schedule

Defending champions Mumbai Indians and last year's finalists Gujarat Giants are set to clash in a blockbuster opening match of the WPL 2024 this Friday while the final will be held on March 17. All matches until March 4 will be played in Bengaluru, whereas the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the remaining matches of the tournament.

Unlike the inaugural edition, there are no double-headers this year, with only one WPL match scheduled every day till the end of the league stage. All matches will start at 7:30 PM IST.

Viacom18 bagged the sole rights to broadcast the opening edition of WPL on TV and online over five years commencing in 2023. Meanwhile, Jio Cinema and Sports18 will live stream the tournament.
