Controversies:

Kapil mankaded Kirsten - On December 9, 1992, the Indian skipper, during his bowling spell, knocked off the bails of Peter Kirsten, who was at the non-striker's end after noticing him off the crease on more than one occasion. He then signalled the umpire for a dismissal and also gestured Kirsten to walk back to the pavilion. (File Pic)

The big suspension - Match referee, Mike Denness suspending 4 Indian players in 2001 - Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Shiv Sunder Das and Deep Dasgupta for various offences.
