Topping the charts is Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the often-overlooked Indian pacer who made a significant impact in Asia Cup T20 editions. From just six matches, Bhuvneshwar claimed 13 wickets at an outstanding average of 9.46, boasting an economy rate of 5.34. His incisive swing bowling, particularly with the new ball, proved instrumental in India's campaign during his appearances between 2016 and 2022
Behind him is Amjad Javed of the UAE, who featured in the 2016 edition. The medium pacer picked up 12 wickets from just seven matches, averaging 14.08, and playing a key role in his side’s bowling unit despite limited international exposure
Also on the list is Mohammad Naveed, another UAE pacer, who impressed with 11 wickets at a highly efficient average of 13.18. His consistency and accuracy made him a standout performer in the 2016 tournament
From the current crop of stars, Rashid Khan, Afghanistan’s premier leg-spinner, has also left his mark. Rashid has taken 11 wickets in eight matches at an average of 18.36, proving to be a constant threat with his variations and control
India’s current T20I all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is set to feature in the 2025 edition, shares the wicket tally with Rashid. Hardik has also bagged 11 wickets from eight appearances, averaging 18.81, underlining his value with the ball in the shortest format
