So far, Lyon has featured in 140 Test matches for Australia and has bagged 562 wickets. His best bowling figures in the format are eight wickets for 50 runs

Currently, Glenn McGrath is placed in the second spot on the list of highest wicket-takers for Australia in Test cricket. McGrath drew curtains on his Test career with 563 scalps in 124 appearances in the format

Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne is enjoying the top spot on the list with 708 wickets in the longest format of the game. He played 145 Test matches for the Aussies and registered the best figures of eight wickets for 71 runs

The second Test match of the Ashes series between England and Australia is scheduled to be played from December 4 at the Gabba in Brisbane
