On day four of the first Test match against Team India, Joe Root took a catch to send Shardul Thakur back to the pavilion in Jos Tongue's over
With this, Root levelled Rahul Dravid's record of the most outfield catches in the traditional format of the game
Currently, Root alongside Dravid are enjoying their top spots on the list with 210 outfield catches
Dravid took 164 Test matches to reach the feat, whereas the Englishman achieved the feat in 10 fewer matches, which is 154 games
Following them is former Sri Lanka cricketer, Mahela Jaywardene, who has 205 outfield catches in 149 Test appearances
