In the second ODI match against New Zealand, Team India stalwart Virat Kohli scored 23 runs in 29 balls, including two boundaries

With this, he has surpassed legendary Sachin Tendulkar to become the second leading run-scorer against New Zealand in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) history

Tendulkar had 1750 runs against New Zealand in 42 ODI matches. The former cricketer also has five centuries and eight half-centuries against the Kiwis

Currently, Kohli has 1773 runs in 35 ODI matches against the "Black Caps". He has also registered six tons and 10 half-centuries against them

Topping the list is legendary Australian captain Ricky Ponting. Having played 51 ODI matches against New Zealand, he garnered 1971 runs, including six centuries and 12 half-centuries
