On Day 2 of the first Test match against the West Indies, Team India's wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel played a knock of 125 runs off 210 deliveries. His knock was also laced with 15 boundaries and three maximums

With this, he became the 12th Team India wicket-keeper to score a century in the traditional format of the game

The right-hander also became the fifth Indian wicket-keeper to score his maiden Test century against the Caribbean team. He has joined the likes of Farokh Engineer, Wriddhiman Saha, Vijay Manjrekar, and Ajay Ratra

For India, it was the third century by a designated wicketkeeper in 2025, the most for them in a calendar year and the joint second-highest for any side in a calendar year, behind South Africa's four in 2013
