As anticipation builds for the global tournament, the trophy’s presence turned Indore into a hub of cricket fervour

Renowned for its cultural heritage and sporting spirit, Indore rolled out the red carpet for the coveted silverware. Over five days, the trophy toured some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Rajwada Palace, Gandhi Hall, Central Museum, Sirpur Lake, and Pitra Parvat, drawing eager crowds and providing stunning backdrops for cricket enthusiasts and visitors

A central highlight of the tour was its engagement with the city’s youth. The trophy visited several prominent educational institutions including The Emerald Heights International School, Niranjana Girls School, Emerald Heights World School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Bhavans Prominent International School, and Sanmati Higher Secondary School

The atmosphere was particularly electric at Bhavans Prominent International School, where India U-19 cricketer Aayushi Shukla joined the celebrations. Sharing her journey in cricket, Shukla inspired students, especially young girls, to pursue their dreams and remain committed to the sport

The tour culminated at Holkar Stadium, one of the official venues for the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The final day featured an engaging media interaction, with senior members of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) in attendance

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will be held from 30 September to 2 November, with matches scheduled across five venues: DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam), and the R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka)
