In the initial phase of the match, Punjab Kings' skipper Shreyas Iyer, who is known for his calm composure, was seen celebrating aggressively after taking the catch of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's opening batsman Phil Salt

During the match, despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Virat Kohli played a knock of 45 runs in 35 deliveries. His knock was laced with three boundaries. With this, he completed the tally of 769 fours in the IPL, which is the most by any player

In the second essay of the match, following the early fall of wickets, Kohli was seen celebrating in his aggressive style

Later, premier pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed the wicket of Marcus Stoinis for just six runs. Following the dismissal, Kohli and former RCB teammate AB de Villiers were seen celebrating the wicket near the boundary line

Following the first-ever title win of RCB, stalwart Virat Kohli was seen in tears at the Narendra Modi Stadium

"This win is as much for the fans as it is for the team, it's been 18 long years," said Kohli. "I've given this team my youth, my prime, my experience. I gave it everything I have. "I never thought this day would come. I was overcome with emotion as soon as the last ball was bowled. "I have stayed loyal to this team, no matter what. My heart is with Bangalore, my soul is with Bangalore and this is the team I'll play for till the last day I play the IPL."

This IPL was something that will surely be remembered for a lot of great innings, fierce bowling spells, and some spectacular catches

However, with RCB finally lifting the trophy after 18 years and Virat Kohli having tears in his eyes, it was just like a Bollywood rom-com concluding on a happy note

This IPL will be remembered not just for stats and scoreboards, but for the goosebumps it delivered and the history it rewrote
