The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to kick off from March 28

Ahead of the league, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) Jitesh Sharma is just nine runs away from completing 1000 runs in the cash-rich league

So far, the right-handed batsman has scored 991 runs in 55 appearances in the league's history. He also has a half-century to his name

RCB will begin their IPL 2026 campaign by playing a clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru

In the previous edition of the tournament, RCB clinched the title under the leadership of Rajat Patidar. It will be interesting to see if they manage to defend their title
