The IPL 2026 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) is scheduled to be played on Friday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur
Ahead of the match, RR's swashbuckling opening batsman Vaibhav Sooryvanshi is just six maximums away from breaking Abhishek Sharma's record of the most sixes by an Indian batsman in a single edition of the cash-rich league
So far, Sooryavanshi has scored 400 runs, with the help of 34 boundaries and 37 maximums. Earlier, Abhishek had smashed 42 maximums with 36 boundaries during the 2024 edition of the IPL
The 15-year-old cricketer is also one six away from completing his tally of 100 sixes in T20 cricket. At the age of 15 years, he smashed 99 sixes in 27 innings, which is the highest number of sixes hit by a batsman in the T20 cricket before turning 20, according to ESPNCricinfo
If he manages to smash one six, the left-handed batsman will achieve the feat of completing 100 sixes before turning. The record will also perhaps be unable to break
