Mahendra Singh Dhoni goes down as one of the most dominant and successful captains in the history of Indian cricket. From his glove work behind the stumps to finishing games for Team India, Dhoni has set an example before the future generations of Indian cricket by showcasing his calm demeanour and cricketing tactics 

Featuring in 90 Test matches, the right-hander has scored 4,876 runs, including six centuries and 33 half-centuries. This also helped him become the Indian wicket-keeper to score the most number of runs in the longest format of the game

One-Day International (ODI) being his premier format, the burly batsman garnered 10,773 runs in the 50-over games. His One-Day career includes 10 tons and 73 half-centuries. In the format, he also achieved the feat of becoming the first player to cross 10,000 runs with an average of over 50

In the shortest format of the game, Dhoni played 98 games and scored 1,617 runs. He only has two centuries in T20Is

Coming to bat in the lower middle-order, MS Dhoni has always been the player who constantly tried to find ways to contribute to the team's success and not to run after personal milestones
